Creating a Healthy & Equitable Firm Culture Forum 1: African American Perspectives

These forums are intended to influence, inspire, and challenge current and future firm leaders. What holds us back and what are we going to do about it? In this time, we need to have open and honest discussions. We need to understand each other and act to build a more equitable and diverse profession. In a series of forums, AIA Orlando will consider the formation of a diverse and inclusive practice as an essential element of healthy firm culture. These forums are intended to influence, inspire, and challenge current and future firm leaders.
Annual Meeting & Lecture (Virtual)
September 10th, 2020
AIA Orlando’s annual meeting of the membership. The first half of the meeting will covered the current status of the chapter with a look ahead to the remainder of the year. Virtual elections for 2021 open board positions and proposed changes to our Chapter Bylaws. The business meeting was immediately followed by a presentation by Stephen Cassell, FAIA, Principal of Architecture Research Office, winner of the AIA 2020 Firm Award.

This will give our Allied Members information on what would be required to do be considered as a potential vendor on their various upcoming projects.

JEFRË; Inside Studio JEFRË will consist of an interview between Landscape Architect turned Public Artist Jefre Manuel and Maurizio Maso, AIA. Maurizio Maso, AIA will be interviewing JEFRË on site at the Orlando Museum of Art at JEFRË’s new exhibit ‘Points of Connection.’
