Advocacy

AIA Orlando needs members to take lead for advocacy in their local communities to strengthen the voice of the architectural profession through the engagement of elected officials, their staff, and other AIA members on issues that affect the built environment. Some of the key areas of focus for the Government Affairs Committee include growth management, historic resources, school construction, & urban design.
Local Government
Local city and county governments have many boards, committees, task forces, and other advisory groups that require volunteers to represent and advocate for the needs of our communities. Find out more about available positions within your county or city below.
