Architectural Associate / BIM Designer Straughn Trout Architects, LLC, a well-established multidisciplinary design firm, is seeking a talented Architectural Associate / BIM Designer to join the firm’s team.

 

The candidate will be responsible for architectural design and the preparation of construction documents for buildings of various occupancies while utilizing Revit for all phases of design. The candidate must be self-motivated and possess the technical ability to work independently on projects from schematic design through the construction phase with minimal guidance.

 

This role includes coordination with the project team, clients, engineering consultants and regulatory agencies. Responsibilities Include:

 

• Conceptualize and create innovative and effective designs for a variety of projects idea/concept to execution

• Evolve design concepts through phases from schematic ideas into Construction Documents utilizing Revit 3D BIM modelling with high accuracy, precision & efficiency

• Develop architectural plans, sections, elevations & details in organized submissions for owner/contractor/consultant deliverables

• Create customized Revit content and coordinate into project document sets

• Document design computations and project-specific architectural details

• Reviews project drawings and assists in establishing and maintaining project deadlines

• Collaborate with STA staff members and design principals on design approach and details

• Explicit desire and evident focus to elevate their personal career through the promotion and expansion of the firm, its works, its brand, culture and reputation.

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• REQUIRED: 0-2+ years of professional architectural design experience

• REQUIRED: Organized, detail-oriented self-starter that can work within a cooperative environment

• REQUIRED: Expertise to effectively utilize Revit Architecture

• Familiarity of architectural building systems with the ability to create technical drawings and 3D models in accordance to standard construction techniques and principles

Senior Architect / Project Manager We are seeking a motivated and professional Senior Architect / Project Manager to work cohesively as an integral player on our team.

 

The desired individual will assist in streamlining creative design and technical production from conception through overall completion of projects, utilizing Revit for all phases of Architecture. This role includes coordination with the project team, clients, engineering consultants and regulatory agencies. Responsibilities Include:

 

• Develop architectural plans, sections, elevations & details in organized submissions for owner/contractor/consultant deliverables.

• Manage multiple projects, coordinating internal resources / project workflow using the firm’s practice management software.

• Responsible for the coordination of project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.

• Contribute/assist leadership with firm-wide architectural details and Revit standards

• Prepares complex detailed project drawings using diverse experience and knowledge of architecture principles, practices and advanced techniques.

• Review project drawings and assists in establishing and maintaining milestones/deadlines.

• Serve as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client's satisfaction.

• Thorough knowledge of architectural building systems with the ability to create technical drawings and 3D models in accordance to standard construction techniques and principles

• Proven track record working with internal design teams to elevate the quality, creativity and deliverables developed

• Team player with collaboration and communication skills who can also work autonomously

• Maintain additional design professional credentials (AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, WELL AP, EDAC, etc.)
