Legacy 2020 is an initiative of AIA Orlando started in January 2009. The purpose of this initiative is to engage the profession and the broader Central Florida community to transform cultural views on architecture in the Orlando region through programs, activities, and events during the time leading up to and one year following the 2019 AIA National Convention in Orlando.

AIA Orlando 20th Anniversary Golf Tournament (Friday, June 19th) |
TEE OFF! NETWORK! ENGAGE!
You are cordially invited to join Central Florida’s top architectural design professionals in the 20th annual AIA Orlando Golf Tournament benefiting Valencia Community College Foundation scholarship fund and the AIA Orlando Chapter. The goal for this tournament is to raise scholarship funds for students in financial need. Over the past 7 years this tournament has raised over $115,000 in scholarships!
This year the event will be held at the The Reunion Resort (www.reunionresort.com)! The Independence Course-

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Insulating Concrete Forms-ICFs-the hottest engineered wall system in the construction market. While ICFs have been around for over 40 years, only recently has the public placed a value on the benefits offered by ICFs: energy efficiency, durability, resistance to natural disasters, noise pollution and mold-just to name a few. The result is a booming market demand. Join us to learn about the remarkable growth of ICF markets- residential and commercial. We'll cover the basics of ICF systems and construction, review the benefits and contributions to LEED, and look at some case studies of ICF construction.

This year's event will be held in Tampa, home of the 2009 Super Bowl. You will get a full dose of continuing education, great speakers, exciting events such as the AIA Florida/Caribbean Honor & Design Awards programs, tours and of course the renowned tradeshow that draws hundreds of vendors and attendees each year.
New this year is the emerging professionals' one-day track on Saturday, Aug. 1. For this track, sessions will be tailored to the interests of EPs and will include topics such as the ARE and IDP, mentoring programs, and alternative paths. This one-day track comes with a special one-day rate.
