||ARE Study Session: Programming, Planning & Practice - Wednesday, May 7
If you are studying and preparing to take your ARE exam, then you'll want to participate in AIA Orlando's Study Sessions. In these sessions, you'll hear directly from architects who recently took and passed the exam. You'll review content, get test taking tips and have the opportunity for questions & answers. Plus, you'll build a support system while studying with others preparing for the ARE.
Pick and chose the topics you want to study for, or register for all 7 study sessions - the choice is yours. Complete & submit the ARE Study Session Registration.

||1 CEU Lunch: Design of Seating Spaces for Theatres & Auditoriums - Thursday, May 8
Irwin Seating Company will host this lunch seminar that qualifies you to earn 1 HSW learning unit.
The seminar will clarify common terms used in regards to auditorium seating, describe different types of auditorium seating layout configurations, examine building code regulations in regards to auditorium spaces and analyze the impact of sight lines, riser mounting, radius layouts and aisle lighting.

||DPAC Final Hard Hat Tour - Tuesday, May 20
Join the WIA-O Committee for the final hard hat tour of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts before it opens to the public this fall.
This tour is open to everyone, but space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot!

Dress: Long pants, shirts with sleeves that cover upper arm. Flat, closed-toe, hard soled shoes are required. Waiver will need to be signed prior to tour. Please bring hard hat, safety vest and safety goggles if you have them. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Presentation will start at 5:30, followed by tours at 6:00 pm. Stay for a reception following the tours with wine / beer and light snacks.

In this 25th year, we will be ‘Putt Putt Putting on the Ritz’ as we take our silver, glitz & glam-themed tournament to the Ritz Carlton Orlando at Grande Lakes.
This year’s Tournament will bring architects and design professionals together with community leaders, vendors, allied professionals and celebrity athletes for a friendly competition raising scholarship funds for students facing financial hardship. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit continuing education programs and scholarships for students studying architecture in Florida’s only 2+2+2 degree program
