Attention Valencia College, University of Central Florida, and University of Florida CityLab-Orlando students-
We'd like to invite all students to participate in AIA Orlando's Conference & Expo on Thursday, September 15th, 2022. We'll be hosting a Student Exhibit, Student Conversation & Q&A with Paul Mankins, FAIA, and a Career Hour. All interested students can participate at no charge in either or all events by registering below. This is a great opportunity to meet potential firms, gain exposure and accelerate your career. Full access to classes (excluding FBC), expo, refreshments and lunch will be provided to all student participants.
About the Student Exhibit
We are looking for architectural exhibits: Models, Display Boards and/or Sketches of your work. All student participants will be required to bring their exhibit pieces between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 15th. The exhibit will take place from noon until 4 p.m. and it is free for everyone to attend. All pieces must be picked up by 8:30 p.m. the same day.
About the Student Conversation & Q&A
Paul Mankins, FAIA, LEED AP is the founder of substance; an award-winning architecture practice based in Des Moines, Iowa. He is widely regarded as one of the leading design practitioners in the Midwest. During the last three decades, he has directed the design of significant corporate, residential, civic and higher education projects recognized with over 130 design awards – including 70 awards from the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Paul will be available to converse with any interested students as well as answer any questions they may have from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
About the Career Hour
The career hour will take place from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 15th. Students looking for internships and career opportunities will bring resumes, ready to meet firms and companies with open positions and placement opportunities.
All students are encouraged to bring business cards and/or resumes. Attire is business casual.

Student Program Sponsorship
This is an opportunity to become a student program sponsor. There are only 5 sponsorships at $350 each available for the student programs at the Conference & Expo. Each of these sponsorships will ensure that 10 students can attend our Conference & Expo at no charge. This sponsorship also includes your company logo and hyperlink in the event page, verbal recognition at the event, name of the company recognized in the event program, signage at the event, recognition in various marketing promotions and social media and more.
