About the event
Join the YAF for the next Mentorship Panel about the Business of Architecture. The theme of this panel discussion is "Pathways in the Architectural Profession," featuring professionals from across a broad spectrum of experiences. We will discuss different career pathways within the field of architecture and design, plus the career choices that can lead there.
This will be a virtual event moderated by Arlenne Gil (YAF Chair) and Emily Anderson (YAF Co-Chair) and is open to all. Featured Panelists:
Naysa Luna - Senior BIM Manager, Universal Creative Naysa is the Senior BIM Manager for Universal Creative. She has worked in the AEC industry over 19 years and has been an avid proponent of Autodesk Revit for over 12 years. Her portfolio of work includes master planning, themed entertainment, commercial, high-rise, mixed-use and multi-family. For a little over five years she has led a team of talented BIM Managers through the design and construction of the 100-hectare Universal Studios Beijing Theme Park that opened September 20, 2021. Six months ago she moved back to Orlando from Beijing, China and has been working on the Orlando-based Universal theme park Epic Universe.
Bethany Mayhew - Job Captain, Forum Architecture Bethany is a Registered Architect in the state of Florida with degrees from Valencia College and the University of Florida, Gainesville. She has five years of experience in the multifamily sector, working on a variety of new private and publicly funded housing developments throughout the state.
Reilly Rabitaille, R.A. - Senior Project Designer, Dwell Design Studio Reilly Rabitaille is currently a Senior Designer with Dwell Design Studio in Orlando. Having grown up in Central Florida, Reilly received his Bachelor’s of Design from the University of Florida before moving north to study his Master’s in Architecture from MIT. His professional experience includes ten years of high-rise multi-family projects in New York City, as well as senior living, entertainment, and educational projects in the Central Florida area. In addition to architectural design, Reilly also has an interest in theatrical set design, continuing to work as a set director for a small independent theatre company in New York, along with volunteering for community theatre projects in New York and Florida.
