Architecture is both an art and a science; a process where one can dream up an idea, and apply a series of tried-and-true methods to make it a reality. Architecture has many contributors that have reimagined, critiqued, and shaped the built environment to what it is today. This exhibit will celebrate the contributions that African Americans have given to this field. A journey introducing historical figures, presenting more recent works from today’s Black Architects, and bringing to light student’s work, showcasing what can emerge out of a future generation of Black Architects.
