About the event
Our AIA Orlando Government Affairs committee is hosting an informative event to discuss building design topics related to applicable Codes including the Florida Building Code and the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code. In our profession, we acknowledge that Code interpretations can differ between design professionals and the plans reviewers. Can the disconnect be minimized in order to streamline the permitting process? Can we bridge interpretive gaps in search of common understandings? Our mission with this workshop is to bring our shared knowledge and experience together to help establish consensus of common Code topics. We strive to benefit us and our clients by building consensus within the Building Codes. Please join us for a lunch event to discuss challenges and solutions that may affect the projects you work on.
