Academy of Architecture for Health
The Academy of Architecture for Health Committee brings together professionals working in the healthcare design field for professional development & education. Our local committee complements the mission of the AIA's Academy of Architecture for Health, whose mission is to improve the quality of healthcare through design by developing, documenting, and disseminating knowledge; educating healthcare architects and other related constituencies; advancing the practice of healthcare architecture; improving the design of health care environments; affiliating and advocating with others that share our vision and promoting research.
The Academy of Architecture for Health in Orlando strives to raise the bar on healthcare design & delivery. Its primary vision is to engage the broader community of engineers, construction managers, & owners in legitimate dialog, advocacy, & education.

Pillars of Healthcare Architecture

Pillars of Architecture - An Ongoing Collaborative Alliance

The four organizations below are allied to advance health care architecture. The AIA Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH) was founded in 1945, and each of the other three organizations was created by members of AAH to advance specific aspects of the profession. The leaders of all four organizations have committed to foster collaboration where it is beneficial and to improve our collective efficiency by clarifying the roles of each group to avoid duplication of services. Each organization remains fully independent, but members of all four groups meet regularly to continue to enrich this important alliance. We urge you to visit each organization’s website to learn more.
