About the event
The time has come to elevate human health and comfort to the forefront of building practices and reinvent buildings that are not only better for the planet—but also for people. This presentation will introduce how to do this using the WELL Building Standard as the framework.
Join us for a discussion on health and well-being in building design, construction, and operations. Turner Construction’s Joseph Marfi, LEED Fellow, WELL AP & WELL Faculty, GGP, Lisa SanFilippo, AIA, LEED BD&C, WELL AP, GGP, and NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and Maya Joannides, AIA, LEED AP BD+C will introduce WELL features including those which focus on cardiovascular, immune, and respiratory body systems.
The WELL approach is holistic and involves strategies both from the design and construction teams. Also to be discussed is the “crossover” between WELL and LEEDv4, for those primarily familiar with LEED. The course is already approved for AIA HWS Credit, WELL AP, and LEED AP.
