Urgent Alert for the Education Architects

Through the rulemaking process, the Florida Department of Health is proposing to modify modifying their Rule 64E-13  to significantly expand their oversight of educational facilities and mandate inspection by county health departments of educational facilities.  The Florida Dept. of Health will conduct a hearing on Monday, March 8 at the Orange County Extension Education Center, 6021 South Conway Road, Auditorium Room, Orlando, Florida.  AIA Florida VP for Advocacy Dan Kirby, AIA is encouraging architects working in education are encouraged to attend and voice your opinion.  Additional information is available at www.fldoe.org/edfacil/ and at www.fefpa.org.
