C.T. Hsu + Associates (CTH+A) has promoted Nathan Butler, AIA, LEED AP, to principal at the firm.
Butler is the project manager for the firm’s award-winning $11.3 million Valencia Community College (VCC) Criminal Justice Institute, the $23 million VCC/UCF joint-use “University Center,” and the $43 million Osceola (Fla.) High School expansion project. He also leads an initiative to integrate the principles of sustainable design and energy efficiency into the work of the firm.
Earlier this year, Building Design & Construction magazine selected Butler for its annual list of “40 Under 40,” a group of architects, engineers, contractors and developers under age 40 that the magazine calls “the brightest stars in the AEC universe and next generation of leadership.” A past recipient of the President's Award from the American Institute of Architects, Orlando Chapter for his exemplary service and dedication to his profession, Butler currently serves on the board of directors for AIA Florida, the Florida Foundation for Architecture and ACE Mentor. In addition, he is a past president of the AIA Orlando Chapter and chairman of the board for the Central Florida Builders Exchange (CFBE).
