AIA Orlando Lunch Seminar: Fiberglass in Energy Efficient Design

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This presentation primarily addresses wool-type fiber glass insulation products utilized in residential and commercial construction. The products and applications of these materials will be discussed in order to understand how they fit into residential and commercial projects. The program will also highlight the sustainability of the product and how it relates to internal air quality (IAQ) and its impact on health, safety and productivity. Fact and misconceptions will be discussed as well as outlining the value added engineering component of energy efficiency for building owners.

Rural Studio in Orlando (Kick-off Meeting) Sunday, September 20th

If you are familiar with Sam Mockbee and the Rural Studio, then this event is for you. Interest has been gathering among members of the architecture community to start a project similar to the Rural Studio right here in Orlando. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity and becoming part of a charette to explore this idea further, please come to a kick-off meeting on Sunday, September 20th from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
