Legacy 2020 Workshop...Recap! |
AIA Orlando held its Legacy 2020 Workshop on Saturday, May 16th at Orlando City Hall. Dan Kirby, AIA Core Group Leader and Don Upton, Strategic planner with Fairfield Index gave an overview and introduction for the purpose of the workshop. The initiative will include the development of a long-range plan for the Chapter and outreach to the Central Florida region to promote architecture in new ways. We are anticipating that this result in an innovation of how we as professionals can elevate conversations on architecture throughout the market we serve.
More than 25 members gave up their Saturday morning and discussed how we can have more of an impact in the community over the next 10 years. The chapter will have a second workshop in the fall and will include community stakeholders. You are cordially invited to join Central Florida’s top architectural design professionals in the 20th annual AIA Orlando Golf Tournament benefiting Valencia Community College Foundation scholarship fund and the AIA Orlando Chapter. The goal for this tournament is to raise scholarship funds for students in financial need. Over the past 7 years this tournament has raised over $115,000 in scholarships!

You will get a full dose of continuing education, great speakers, exciting events such as the AIA Florida/Caribbean Honor & Design Awards programs, tours and of course the renowned tradeshow that draws hundreds of vendors and attendees each year.
New this year is the emerging professionals' one-day track on Saturday, Aug. 1. For this track, sessions will be tailored to the interests of EPs and will include topics such as the ARE and IDP, mentoring programs, and alternative paths. This one-day track comes with a special one-day rate. |
