PARLOR SERIES: UNDERPINNINGS OF GOOD DESIGN

PARLOR SERIES: UNDERPINNINGS OF GOOD DESIGN

  • Tuesday, November 14, 2017
  • 6:30pm  8:30pm

The final Parlor Talk will show how good design does not exist in a vacuum, but is the product of good government. Winter Park City Architect Brooks Weiss AIA will provide the city’s vision for its future. The economics of government, and how it influences design, will be shared by David Hardison from Orange County government.

The Casa Parlor Series is a sequence of lectures and performances and owes its name to the house's historic reputation as "Winter Park's Parlor." Sponsors include Wakefield Beasley Associates, a design firm based in Orlando, and Cónaithe, an art and design consultancy firm. The American Institute of Architects and Rollins College support the educational programming provided by this event.
