This iconic mid-century modern building is slated for demolition as part of the new Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center and it is our goal to see that the decorative concrete curtain wall be saved, removed and redisplayed somewhere in Central Florida, as a tribute to Orlando’s mid-century modern architecture.

The presentation will also include information on the Nils M. Schweizer Fellows, their preservation efforts on the Frank Lloyd Wright’s Spring House in Tallahassee, a display of the RBR360.com international design competition entries on the Round Building, a “did you know” contest on some of Orlando’s architecture and a special viewing surprise.

The Nils M. Schweizer Fellows, Inc. is a non profit organization named after a prominent Central Florida architect. The group is made up of modern design enthusiasts whose goal is to seek the preservation of Central Florida's exceptional mid-century modern architecture and to promote awareness and use of modern design.
